    Elderwood Village at Williamsville is seeking an Assistant Dining Services Manager to join our Dietary Team.

     

    The Assistant Dining Services Manager team member assists with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for supervising work of dining services staff involved in direct food preparation, production, clean-up operations, overall quality of food product and service to residents. Shift is weekdays with occasional weekends.

     

    Elderwood Village at Williamsville is an Assisted Living Facility (ALF) serving the geriatric population. This facility is licensed under New York State’s Assisted Living Program (ALP) to provide specialized care for residents who medically qualify. Specialty programs, such as Respite Care and Enhanced Care, are also offered.

    Assistant Dining Services Manager Position Overview:

    Responsibilities

    Assistant Dining Services Manager Requirements:

    • Ability to verbally communicate well with residents, families, and staff members.
    • Ability to read and understand task assignments, ability to report verbally and provide written documentation as required.
    • Display of genuine concern for the elderly; a dependable, patient and compassionate attitude towards residents. Demeanor always respectful of residents' rights and wishes.
    • Ability to cooperate and maintain respectful treatment with others. Sense of responsibility, maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with residents, families, and other staff members.

    Qualifications

    Assistant Dining Services Manager Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 18 years of age required; HS diploma or equivalent required.
    • Ability to supervise food preparation activities and carry out cooking tasks at safe and efficient
    • level of performance.
    • Knowledge of food preparation and production process necessary; knowledge of food
    • protection principles; ability to follow and prepare modified diets.
    • Knowledge of nutritional needs of older persons.
    • Pride in quality of food and service necessary.
    • High degree of personal cleanliness and good hygiene necessary; health status suitable to
    • work in food services required.
