Overview

Lifestyle Associate Overview

Responsible for being active and proactive in identifying full range of resources and services that would support current residents and prospective residents and families. Provide seamless and efficient access to a broad array of services. In the absence of independent living administrator, will conduct tours and sales.

Responsibilities

Lifestyle Associate Essential Job Functions

  1. Consistently demonstrates Elderwood Core Values
  2. Provide seamless and efficient access to a broad array of local features such as shopping, dining, and recreational destinations.
  3. Assist residents with travel arrangements to include but not limited to hotel reservations, airline tickets, transport to and from airport
  4. Assist families and or residents with reserving community rooms for personal use
  5. Overseeing and ensuring the medical transportation for residents is efficient and properly billed if necessary
  6. Work collaboratively with local businesses to offer their services to residents, prospective residents, and families
  7. Assists incoming residents with all facets of transition and move to Elderwood Residences at Wheatfield patio homes and apartments
  8. Communicates incoming resident’s special needs or requirements to the team
  9. Remains current on unit status and vacancies
  10. Supports Administrator by assisting with tours, telephone inquiries, community events
  11. Keep record of potential resident applicants on file, including facility application and other required forms
  12. Observes and practices confidentiality of resident information and privacy when performing position duties.
  13. Utilizes electronic timekeeping system as directed.
  14. Arrives to work on time, regularly, and works as scheduled.
  15. Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times.
  16. Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.
  17. Supports and abides by Elderwood’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  18. Abides by Elderwood’s businesses code of conduct, compliance and HIPAA policies.
  19. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff or Administrator.

Qualifications

Lifestyle Associate Educational Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 yrs. age required; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid New York Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the sales process.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills necessary.
  • Solid computer skills required.

 

Lifestyle Associate Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the residents and families
  • Ability to verbally communicate well with residents, families, and staff members.
  • Ability to read and understand task assignments, ability to report verbally and provide written documentation as required.
  • Display of genuine concern for the elderly; a dependable, patient and compassionate attitude towards residents, display a demeanor which is always respectful of residents’ rights and wishes.
  • Ability to cooperate and maintain respectful treatment of others. Display a sense of responsibility, maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with residents, families and other staff members.
  • Ability to travel with personal transportation to all company health care facilities and other locations on a regular and as-needed basis.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform job duties with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to apply/utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
