Our 76-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation community provides Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care, along with specialized support including hospice and respite care. As a Maintenance Assistant, your work will help support the environment in which residents receive care, recover, visit with family, and call home.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll help ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and operating efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and general building upkeep.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility, including resident rooms and common areas
  • Assist with plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and basic mechanical repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Perform routine inspections to identify safety hazards and repair needs
  • Assist with equipment setup, moving furniture, and facility projects
  • Follow OSHA, infection prevention, and facility safety standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to support daily operations and resident comfort

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    • At least one year of maintenance, facilities, construction, or building operations experience preferred
    • Experience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or commercial facilities is a plus
    • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general repairs
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move equipment as needed
    • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
