Location: Point Pleasant, PA | Accessible from Bucks County, the Lehigh Valley, and Central New Jersey

 

Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA is seeking compassionate, dependable Nurse Technicians for priority day-shift opportunities supporting medically fragile and technology-dependent children and young adults.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do as a Nurse Technician / Nursing Assistant – Pediatrics

As a Nurse Technician at Pediatric Specialty Care, you’ll provide hands-on support that promotes each resident’s comfort, dignity, independence, and well-being. Working under the direction of the nursing team, you will:

  • Assist children and young adults with activities of daily living, including personal care, toileting, repositioning, mobility, transfers, and mealtime support.
  • Provide individualized care based on each resident’s abilities, needs, preferences, and established care plan.
  • Observe residents closely, respond to their personal care needs, and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing supervisor.
  • Perform trained clinical support tasks, including obtaining vital signs, assisting with range-of-motion exercises, and emptying ostomy bags after completing required training and competency validation.
  • Document personal care, meals, activities, and other services accurately in the resident’s medical record.
  • Encourage participation in activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, social, and developmental well-being.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.
  • Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to provide consistent, coordinated care throughout the day.
  • Assist residents entering and exiting vehicles and, when assigned, safely transport children to appointments in a PSC-owned vehicle.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking for in a Nurse Technician:

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Current, valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or more advanced level to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors

Preferred

  • Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification
  • Familiarity with computer programs and applications
