Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will partner with the Occupational Therapist to help residents restore function, maximize independence, and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
  • Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions that promote functional independence
  • Monitor resident progress and communicate treatment outcomes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and discharge recommendations
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and billing guidelines
  • Maintain treatment schedules while supporting efficient rehabilitation services
  • Assist in supervising rehabilitation technicians and affiliating students as appropriate
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best possible resident outcomes

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for helping residents maximize independence and quality of life
  • Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment
