Elderwood at Liverpool is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to provide hands-on clinical leadership within our 160-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation community.

This is an opportunity for a steady, visible RN leader who knows how to bring structure to a nursing unit, develop CNAs and nurses, strengthen clinical follow-through, and create consistent expectations for resident care.

 

You will have the support of an established interdisciplinary team while taking meaningful ownership of your unit’s clinical performance, staffing stability, employee development, and resident and family experience.

Located just north of Syracuse, Elderwood at Liverpool provides skilled nursing, long-term care, subacute rehabilitation, and specialized memory care. Unit Manager (RN) - Skilled Nursing - What You’ll Lead:

Unit Leadership & Team Oversight

• Provide 24-hour oversight of your assigned nursing unit
• Supervise, coach, and develop nursing staff — with a strong focus on CNA support and performance
• Set clear expectations for care delivery, accountability, and teamwork

Clinical Oversight & Resident Care

• Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans
• Monitor clinical indicators and proactively address resident needs
• Ensure high standards in documentation, infection control, and regulatory compliance

Family & Physician Communication

• Serve as a key point of contact for families and providers
• Communicate changes in condition and care plans clearly and professionally
• Address concerns and support service recovery when needed

Operations & Staffing

• Manage daily staffing, call-ins, and scheduling needs
• Participate in hiring, performance management, and staff development
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure quality and environment standards are met
