Responsibilities

Occupational Therapist (OT)

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and treatments in accordance with physician orders
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans and care goals
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams regarding resident progress and discharge planning
  • Participate in resident care planning meetings
  • Support resident and family education initiatives
  • Assist with mentorship and clinical support activities, as needed

Qualifications

Occupational Therapist (OT)

  • Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy required.

  • State license to practice occupational therapy required.

  • Two years’ experience in occupational therapy preferred.

  • Interest in occupational therapy treatment programs for the geriatric and subacute populations utilizing a team approach.

  • Ability to direct others necessary.

  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing required.

  • Current, valid CPR/BLS credential
  • Sense of responsibility and ability to work well with residents, families, and other staff members required.

  • Qualities of maturity, diplomacy, and ability to work well with others required.

  • Ability to work with geriatric and chronically ill residents, as well as other professionals in a friendly and helpful manner necessary.

  • Ability to perform tasks to established standards of excellence required.

  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
