Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Physical Therapist Assistant team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of individuals by providing comprehensive and quality therapy services. This position is responsible for administering skilled physical therapy treatments as developed and recommended by a Registered Physical Therapist, ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
What a PTA Role Looks Like at Elderwood:
• Working one-on-one with residents to improve mobility, strength, balance, and endurance
• Assisting patients through individualized therapy treatment plans created by the supervising PT
• Helping residents safely return to daily activities and improve overall quality of life
• Encouraging, motivating, and celebrating patient progress every step of the way
• Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary rehab and nursing team
• Documenting treatments and progress accurately and efficiently
• Creating meaningful connections with residents and families daily
