Responsibilities

Unit Clerk - What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and organize medical records and documentation
  • Schedule appointments, labs, dental, audiology, and diagnostic services
  • Support admissions, discharges, and care plan documentation
  • Order and manage nursing unit supplies
  • Assist with EMR updates and census accuracy
  • Support pharmacy reviews, prior authorizations, and insurance updates
  • Answer calls and assist staff, families, and visitors professionally
  • Provide administrative support to DON, ADON, and nursing leadership

Qualifications

Unit Clerk - What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, typing, data entry)
  • Experience with medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
  • PointClickCare experience highly valued
  • Organized, dependable, and able to multitask
  • Friendly, professional communication skills
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
