Elderwood at Hamburg is seeking a high-potential Assistant Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, while preparing for future Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) leadership opportunities.

This is a hands-on, high-exposure role designed for a developing healthcare leader who wants to build real operational depth in a complex post-acute environment.

Responsibilities

Assistant Administrator - What You’ll Do:

You will partner closely with the Administrator to support all aspects of facility operations, including:

 

Operations & Leadership

  • Support daily operations of a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility
  • Provide oversight to department leaders as needed
  • Step in to support continuity during Administrator absence

 

Quality & Compliance

  • Support and monitor Quality Assurance (QA/QAPI) programs
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in survey readiness and performance improvement initiatives

 

People & Culture

  • Support Human Resources planning and workforce development
  • Partner with department leaders to strengthen accountability and engagement
  • Promote a culture of service excellence and teamwork

 

Growth & Strategy

  • Assist in development and execution of the facility Marketing Plan
  • Lead special projects in partnership with the Administrator and regional leadership
  • Contribute to operational improvement and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

Assistant Administrator - What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health or related field preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience, preferably in:
    • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
    • Healthcare operations
    • Post-acute or long-term care
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to influence across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to serving the geriatric population
