Pharmacy Intern team members are primarily responsible for receiving and inputting medication orders into computer via fax or phone from facilities under the
supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Pharmacy Intern Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a complete working knowledge of the pharmacy software package. 
• Print labels and delivery sheets to allow technicians to fill orders. 
• Check final prepared medications for accuracy under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. 
• Provide drug information in an easily understood manner as requested by facility staff. 
• Research and clarifiy medication orders that are incomplete or unclear.
• Support both operational needs to fulfill medication orders as well as support the consulting team.
• Support MTM per scope of practice as well as conduct station audits within facilities.

Pharmacy Intern Qualifications:

   • Currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program to become a licensed Pharmacist
   • Registration with the Board of Pharmacy as required by individual state
