Elderwood at North Creek is seeking an experienced and motivated RN Unit Manager to oversee nursing services and resident care on an assigned unit. As a Unit Manager, you will provide 24-hour oversight of your assigned unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and a positive, collaborative team culture. You’ll serve as a primary point of contact for residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary partners - while leading, coaching, and developing your nursing team.

Oversee and coordinate resident-centered nursing care on your assigned unit
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
Supervise, coach, evaluate, and support nursing staff performance
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and corrective action processes as needed
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation, reporting, and care planning
Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive unit environment for residents and staff
Communicate effectively with physicians, families, leadership, and healthcare partners
Attend leadership meetings and required in-service education
Promote staff engagement by recognizing strong performance and encouraging professional growth
Identify opportunities to improve quality of care, team satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active New York State license
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
Experience or strong interest in geriatric nursing
Current BLS/CPR certification
Experience with dementia care preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to lead with empathy, accountability, and professionalism
This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
