Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Pediatric

 

The RN Supervisor is responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of nursing services during assigned shifts, including:

  • Providing immediate response to resident needs and clinical situations

  • Supervising nursing care and staff across all units while on duty

  • Ensuring compliance with clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements

  • Promoting and supporting facility safety and infection prevention initiatives

  • Serving as Infection Preventionist Nurse, as assigned

  • Assuming responsibility for nursing services in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing and/or Director of Nursing Services

  • Supporting nursing staff through guidance, coaching, and problem-solving

  • Maintaining effective communication with residents, families, staff, and leadership

  • Contributing to a respectful, compassionate, and child-centered care environment

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Pediatric

  • Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required

  • Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in a nursing leadership role

  • Pediatric, hospital, or long-term care experience required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • Prior experience in nursing education and/or in-service training preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to supervise staff effectively and maintain high standards of care

  • Must be 21 years of age or older

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level
