Receptionist Position Overview:
Receptionists represent Elderwood in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner. They are an integral part of daily life for residents and guests, managing a variety of administrative and customer service tasks.
Receptionist Responsibilities:
Answer phones and greet visitors warmly; ensure callers and visitors receive timely and effective assistance or are referred to the appropriate staff.
Sort and distribute mail.
Transport residents as directed by supervisors, management staff, or Administrator.
Deliver newspapers to residents.
Collect fees and maintain records for guest tickets or special events; handle conference room reservation requests.
Perform typing and data entry assignments.
Forward mail of discharged residents.
Operate copy machines and perform duplication assignments.
Receptionist Qualifications:
Experience answering multi-line phone systems.
Office experience with strong typing skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs preferred.
Knowledge of office machines and equipment preferred.
This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
