Position Overview

Elderwood is seeking high-quality, compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Supervisors to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families. We are looking to fill Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem positions.

The LPN Nursing Supervisor ensures the health and well-being of residents by managing nursing care during assigned shifts, supervising nursing personnel, and performing other duties assigned by the Director of Nursing Services.

Responsibilities

LPN Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Respond immediately to residents’ requests.

  • Supervise nursing care services and staff on all units during your shift.

  • Actively promote facility safety programs.

  • May serve as the Infection Preventionist Nurse.

  • Assume responsibility for nursing services in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing Services and/or Director of Nursing Services.

Qualifications

LPN Supervisor Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of employment.

  • Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience, including at least one (1) year in a nursing leadership role.

  • Interest or experience in geriatrics preferred.

  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

  • Experience working with dementia populations is desirable.

 

  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
