Regional Risk Management Consultant


Elderwood Administrative Services is dedicated to maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-managed workplace. We are seeking a dedicated Regional Risk Management Consultant to join our team and play a key role in reducing risks and ensuring the well-being of our residents, employees, and organization.

 

Position Overview:

  • The Regional Risk Management Consultant collaborates closely with the VP of Risk Management to support, maintain, and implement risk management initiatives that address the company's operational and strategic risks. This role is critical to the claim reporting process by reviewing, assessing and reporting designated claims to the appropriate insurance carriers.
  • This position is a hybrid position, blending claim reporting and administrative support tasks with some travel to conduct site visits at locations to support proactive incident prevention efforts, audits and mock audits.

Responsibilities

Regional Risk Management Consultant:

  • Responsible for review, analysis and reporting of Workers’ Compensation, Professional/General Liability, Auto and other insurance line claims
  • Analyze trends and data to identify risk patterns and recommend mitigation strategies

  • Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation programs to reduce incidents and associated costs

  • Provide education and strongly advocatesfor the return to work program

  • Manage return-to-work programs

  • Provide support to locations on OSHA Recordkeeping

  • Manage Surety Bond renewal process
  • Provide guidance to locations regarding applicable policies, procedures, and relevant laws/regulations.

  • Ensure adherence to federal and state compliance requirements, particularly those related to healthcare information privacy practices

  • Maintain Incident and Claim databases and files

  • Manage COI requests and distribution, maintaining internal database

  • Manage Vehicle Inventory

Qualifications

Regional Risk Management Consultant:

  • Valid, current driver license for travel to site locations
  • Associates degree and two years of experience in Risk Management, or a minimum of five years of experience in a Risk Management role
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Workers’ Compensation insurance & claims handling required; multiline insurance experience preferred
  • Demonstrable knowledge of State Workers’ Compensation Laws and OSHA Recordkeeping
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA and confidential handling of PHI required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365
