We are looking for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to oversee our pharmacy operations and lead a dedicated team of pharmacists and technicians.

What You’ll Do:

This position is accountable for regulatory compliance of Federal and State agencies, while managing the provision of pharmaceutical care, staff, and work flow processes for the pharmacy department.

Responsibilities

Director of Pharmacy:

  • Corporate responsibility for all regional pharmacy operations.
  • Effective implementation of care and process changes.
  • Responsible for strategic planning and business development for the pharmacy department.
  • Clear and concise department communications.
  • Consistent and updated human resource management.
  • General operations workflow coordination.
  • Orientation, training, staff development and management.
  • Developing and implementing of Policies and Procedures, Standards of Practice (SOP) and Best Practices.
  • Compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and accrediting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by Woodmark Pharmacy.
  • Budgetary workflows and outcomes.
  • Financial responsibilities/financial analysis.
  • AR for facility payments.
  • Complete and successful third party audits.
  • Negotiations with vendors and customers.
  • Professional standards set forth by Woodmark Pharmacy.
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of the pharmacy as they pertain to company outcome objectives established for the region.
  • Guidance and development of staff to their full potential, providing challenging opportunities to enhance career growth, grooming the talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning.
  • Ensuring that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood to the satisfaction of both parties.
  • Production and promotion of pharmacy products and services.
  • Development and implementation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on Woodmark Pharmacy corporate goals and growth objectives.
  • Developing procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow.
  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
  • Accurate oversight of all Inventory.
  • Budgetary work flow including accounts payables and receivables.
  • Scheduling of staff to maximize efficiencies, and minimize waste.
  • Reviewing and revising quality processes.

 

Qualifications

Director of Pharmacy:

  • Bachelor Degree in pharmacy required

  • At least two (3) years of related pharmacy management experience required

  • Working knowledge of all government regulations impacting upon pharmacy required

  • 5 years Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred

  • 3 years Supervisory or Management experience preferred

  • Knowledge of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist guidelines for practice, state and federal regulations, and drug indicators for long term care centers

  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
