Position Overview:

  • The Clinical Applications Specialist (RN) will be responsible for supporting clinical applications working collaboratively with facility and corporate management staff representatives to ensure computer and software education needs are met for all staff members.
  • This is a hybrid position; remote work coupled with office and site travel (as needed). 
  • This is a Full Time opportunity.

Responsibilities

RN - Clinical Applications Specialist:

  1. Assists in the development of, and adheres to, policies and procedures for the technical support of clinical systems in accordance with HIPAA and all other applicable regulatory agency requirements.
  2. Supports EMR configuration and rollouts with clinical expertise.
  3. Assesses and helps to resolve issues with existing clinical applications.
  4. Performs on-site clinical trainings and project rollouts.
  5. Attends internal or external meetings related to project work.
  6. Performs work in cross-functional teams.
  7. Creates test scenarios for EMR systems, executes such tests, evaluates results, and provides recommendations.
  8. Gathers input and assists with developing policies and procedures for clinical system users.
  9. Assists with producing technical literature and process documentation.
  10. Generates various reports to ensure compliance and for periodic audits.
  11. Arrives to work on time, regularly, and works as scheduled.
  12. Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times.
  13. Follows policy and procedure regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.
  14. Supports and abides by Elderwood’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  15. May be needed to serve in a clinical care capacity during times of crisis/emergency management.
  16. Abides by Elderwood’s businesses code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff or Administrator.

 

RN Clinical Applications Specialist - Skills/Competencies

Qualifications

RN - Clinical Applications Specialist:

  • Credentialed RN
  • Minimum of five (5) years of work-related experience with EMR applications
  • EMR training & configuration experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide hands on technical support in a classroom or facility user environment
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer service
  • Travel required to assigned facilities, including overnight
  • Current, valid driver license
