The Rehabilitation Clerk assists the therapy department with administrative and clerical tasks and occasional transport and/or wheelchair follow.
Responsibilities
Scans and uploads Daily Interaction Forms and Mobile Audit Logs.
Tracks and updates insurance authorizations.
Assists DOR and ADOR with follow-ups to therapists to complete documentation.
Assists DOR and ADOR with maintaining records for equipment such as wheelchairs, assistive devices, adaptive equipment, etc.
Places calls to family members to inform them when a resident is being evaluated for therapy and discharge.
Assists DOR and ADOR with insurance requests.
Performs transport or wheelchair follows during ambulation training as assigned.
Cleans, organizes and maintains the therapy gym areas.
With required authorization, orders equipment for subacute patients.
Tracks documentation to ensure physician signature requirements are fulfilled; prints documentation for physical signatures if unable to obtain electronically.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Geniune interest in working with elderly population
Proficiency with computer usage and programs
Experience in healthcare industry and/or customer service preferred
This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
