    Are you interested in a career in the medical field? Elderwood at Wakefield in Rhode Island is offering FREE CNA Training starting August 7, 2018!  Please contact Susan Carr, HR at 401-789-3006 for next test date.

     

    Do you need to make money during training?

    The Free CNA Training course (occurring on every Tuesday and Thursday between August 7th-September 25th) is free to take but is an unpaid training. However, candidates will be eligible to work as Support Aides during the duration of the training class.

     

    At the completion of the course Elderwood will pay for the CNA certification test as well as any applicable onboarding requirements including but not limited to PPD and Physical for eligible candidates.

     

    Successful class graduates will be offered immediate employment as Certified Nursing Assistants to follow the class.  Full time and part time opportunities are available with many shift options depending upon your availability.

    Responsibilities

    Nursing Assistant Trainee team members assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by participating as a student in a Nursing Assistant 100-Hour Training Program and completing certification within 120 hours of training start date.

    Qualifications

    1.Eighteen (18) years of age required. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of program required entrance testing and application process.


    2. No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property through any current or previous licensing agency.
