We are currently seeking an RN- Registered Nurse Supervisor to assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our individuals by being responsible for nursing care rendered at the facility; supervision of nursing personnel of each unit; and other additional duties assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing and/or Director of Nursing Services.

Pediatric Specialty Care Overview:
The Day-to-Day tasks for Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other individual services to ensure the continuity of the individuals’ total regimen of care.
Admit, transfer, and discharge individuals as required.
Assist with orienting new staff.
Complete incident reports and follow up on reports.
Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charts, etc., ensure that all nursing services personnel are performing their respective duties
Periodically review the individual's written discharge plan. Participate in the updating of individual's written discharge plan, as required.
Meet with the nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the department’s services, programs, and activities.
Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies; and make reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning operations of the department.
Assure adequate 24-hour nursing coverage in facility each day.
Determine the staffing needs of the nursing service department necessary to meet the total nursing need of the individuals.
Report absenteeism/call-ins to the DON/ADON/Administrator/Scheduler.
Recruits, interviews, hires, counsels, evaluates, disciplines, and terminates nursing services personnel, nursing personnel, job descriptions, document, and coordinate personnel actions with Human Resources Coordinator.
Make at a minimum daily round of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable ensuing standards.
Monitor or assign the monitoring of absenteeism to ensure that an adequate number of nursing care personnel are always on duty.
Develop work assignments, and/or assist in completing and performing such tasks.
Inform personnel of new admissions, ensure that rooms are ready, greet new admissions, and escort to rooms, monitor individual’s treatment and mediations to ensure individuals are receiving proper care.
Review nurses’ notes to ensure proper documentation is maintained relating to individual’s treatment, medications, and conditions.
Is responsible for making daily rounds for observation of the care of individuals, for talking with physician and visiting selected individuals.
Assist and participate in developing for each individual a preliminary and comprehensive assessment and written plan of care that identifies with nursing and medical problems and/or needs of the individual and the goals to be accomplished for each problem and/or need identified.
Encourage individual and their families to participate in the development and review of care plans. Ensure that all nursing services personnel are aware of the care plans and that care plans are used in providing daily nursing services to the individual
Make rounds with physicians as necessary assisting with examinations and treatments as needed.
Ensure that all RNs and LPNs on your shift comply with written procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies.
Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and treatments are provided as scheduled.
Inspect the nursing service treatment areas daily to ensure that they are maintained in a clean and safe manner
