Elderwood at Liverpool (formally Birchwood) is searching for a skilled & compassionate RN Assistant Unit Manager to aide our very busy 160-bed Skilled Nursing facility in Liverpool, NY.  We have been undergoing massive renovations to update our facility including investing in new state of the art equipment and iPads for our nursing staff!

Responsibilities

Assistant Unit Manager (RN) Duties:

 

The Assistant Unit Manager will assist with ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by being responsible for the nursing services rendered on one of our Long Term Care Units during their work shift and being involved in the management of staff performance and responsible for nursing care documentation, implementation and reporting. 

 

The position will be aiding our Long Term Care Unit Manager working a full time schedule of 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. 

Qualifications

Assistant Unit Manager (RN) Qualifications:

  • Possession of a New York State license/registration to practice as a Registered Licensed Nurse
  • Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience and at least one year of experience in a leadership role preferred.
  • Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Ability to utilize creative problem solving.
  • Experience or interest in rehabilitation nursing preferred, ability to relate well with residents required.
  • Experience/appropriate training and/or education relative to the types of patients admitted to the subacute unit is preferred.
