Elderwood Administrative Services, a large and growing senior/pediatric post-acute healthcare services provider is recruiting a Staff Accountant to join its Administrative Services Operations in Buffalo, NY.  Temporarily Remote Due to COVID.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly accounting and financial analysis for 8-15 assigned companies by generating financial statements, explaining variances to budget and trend, and presenting operating results to facility leadership and executive team on monthly conference calls.
  • Become subject matter expert in certain complex areas, and perform monthly financial close for those areas for all 120+ companies in the PostAcute corporate family.
  • Assist with other aspects of monthly financial close, including balance sheet reconciliations and ad-hoc requests for financial information.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, audit work papers and schedules, and other special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proactive approach
  • High attention to detail and accuracy along with ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Proficient computer skills are a must (Microsoft Office, Great Plains Accounting systems)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to listen actively and respond to others
  • Team player with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • Attention to detail with the ability to take initiative, follow up and complete tasks in a timely manner
